Dr. Alisa O’Riley Hannum is a clinical psychologist in the VA Eastern Colorado Healthcare System (ECHCS). She received her PhD from West Virginia University in 2010 after completing a predoctoral internship in the VA Palo Alto Healthcare System. She completed a National Research Service Award (NRSA) Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for the Study and Prevention of Suicide in the University of Rochester Medical Center Department of Psychiatry. After postdoctoral fellowship, she held a position as a senior researcher in the VA Canandaigua Medical Center Center of Excellence for Suicide Prevention before accepting a position as a staff psychologist in the VA ECHCS. In the ECHCS, Dr. Hannum has served as a clinical psychologist on the PTSD Clinical Team from 2017 to present. In December 2019, she was also appointed as the VA ECHCS Military Sexual Trauma Coordinator for Southern Colorado. Dr. Hannum’s research has primarily focused on suicide prevention and the treatment of PTSD. She has published several peer-reviewed articles and chapters focused on these areas of study. Dr. Hannum has been an EMDRIA certified EMDR therapist since March 2018 and is currently an EMDRIA Consultant-In-Training at the EMDR Training Academy. She offers a consultation group to EMDR providers practicing in VA or DOD. She also offers individual EMDR consultation.
